Mobile Friction Meter

 

 

A sample (A) is attached to the tilt stage. And the other sample(B) is attached to the contact. (fixing sheet by binding and solid by both sides label.) Set the contact on the tilt stage so that the sensor pole pass the sensor section. Then, tilt the stage and detect the angle just the contact starts sliding, and convert it into a coefficient of static friction.

Operation of the SF-2 is as simple as below.
1) Turn the power switch on.
2) Attach samples on the contact and the tilt stage.
3) Press MEAURE switch.
4) The SF-2 detects the moment that the contact starts sliding, then coefficient of static friction is displayed on the LED.
